Inspired by our fascination and relationship with plant life, the piece exhibits a fictional world of alien or extraterrestrial flora and fauna. Building on worlds of play and fantasy, the piece explores the magic of when a root is moved aside, when the stream slows, when the wind settles and when a rock is lifted. The work is a tribute to the boundless creativity of childhood—the whimsical worlds we construct in our minds, where the familiar merges with the surreal.
