Slovak Domovina Dancers Branding

The Domovina Dancers is a Slovak folklore ensemble in Windsor, ON Canada. Using the group’s original colours, blue and white, a branding system was developed using a simple floral motif influenced by folklore costumes found in Slovakia. A vibrant blue was chosen to bring energy and freshness to the palette, along with a complementing lighter blue tone. The simplicity of the logo adds to the modern take on the group’s choreography, bridging together the old traditions with new, fresh ideas, and explores the hybridity between Slovak and Canadian culture.
